Once Again, Please Pray

I don't know where to begin, so I'll just be blunt. Amy is need of much prayer. The fungal infection in her lungs is taking its toll. She is having a very difficult time breathing, on top of which she is also now dealing with mucositis from the methotrexate dose on Friday and the same pain issues she's had these last couple of weeks.

At this point the transplant is being put on hold. There is a lot of doubt as to whether she will survive this infection. One of the doctors yeterday said we could be looking at a couple of hours, or a couple of days. She's not talking much anymore as all of her energy is going into just trying to breathe (and for those that were wondering, she is hooked up to a rebreather with the oxygen level turned all the way up).

So we ask for prayer. Prayer that the Lord might bring her once again back from death's doorstep. Prayer that should God deem this the time to bring her ultimate healing and call her home that she will pass quickly and peacefully. Prayer that as the doctors keep asking me what to do that I'll have the wisdom to make the right decisions. Prayer for the doctors as they come up with ideas to care for dear Amy.

Thank you all for your faithfullness in praying for Amy.

Brandon,
Your courage and faith in this difficult time are incredible. I know what it's like to watch a loved one stand next to death. I lost my mom to ARDS last year.
I want to encourage you and Amy both to keep looking up to Jesus. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He hears the cries of His people.

We continue to pray for a miracle.
All praise be to the Father.
In Christian love,
~Ashley~

Brandon-
I think of Amy often, even though I only know her through this blog. May the Lord give you peace as you go through these trials. My dear MIL lost her short battle with AML a few years ago and I know there is nothing comforting but belief in eternal life where you'll meet again.

from the Heidelberg Catechism-
Q: What is your only comfort in life and in death? A: That I belong- body and soul, in life and in death- not to myself but to my faithful Savior, Jesus Christ, who at the cost of His own blood has fully paid for all my sins and has completely freed me from the dominion of the devil; that He protects me so well that without the will of my Father in heaven not a hair can fall from my head; indeed, that everything must fit His purpose for my salvation. Therefore, by His Holy Spirit, He also assures me of eternal life, and makes me wholeheartedly willing and ready from now on to live for Him.
Your lives are a testimony to the power and truth of these words. Praying for you and your family in TN that the Lord would carry you through each second of these days.

As I breathe today, I will dedicate each breath to Amy, praying that she will experience deliverance from the difficulty she is having now. I am praying, tearfully, that Amy would be healed and that she will exceed all expectations with a smile on her face. I pray that God is with Amy, and all of you as you rally around her and pray over her.

Amy...I pray for you, my friend. You have touched my life in greater ways than you can imagine.

Brandon and Amy,

We are praying. The Father promised that when we pray for wisdom, He will give it, and I am especially praying for that, Brandon.

What is there to say? ... but that as Christ wept for Mary and Martha, He weeps for you. And as then, He knows the end of the story, although we cannot see what He is going to do next. Nothing is impossible with Him.

Amy, Brandon and Gary,

I am meditating on these scriptures and am reminded of how good our God is. Please take comfort in knowing that your Savior is near and loves you very dearly!

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

9But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 10That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Romans8:31-39

31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."[l] 37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[m] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

In Christ's unfailing Love!

Brandon,
I can't type, I am too hurt...Oh I am sorry, but I want to have the faith Amy has..so I will think positive and hold fast to what I know. Amy is in God's hands, every breath, He already knows, my prayer is as yours, that God would heal her and if not to do so on this side of life, that she would very peaceably fly to Jesus. My heart, soul and mind is going before God to pray for your family.
